Cello Teacher
I have been teaching private cello lessons since 2001, working with beginning, intermediate, and advanced students. In lessons, students study scales, etudes, and traditional solo repertoire, and they also have the opportunity to perform in a yearly recital. My primary goal as a teacher is to nurture a love of music and to support each student’s unique path through individualized instruction.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Cello Performance from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Regis University in Denver. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in Elementary Music, with an emphasis in Vocal Performance.
In addition to being a musician, I'm also a visual artist. In my free time, I work with clay to create textured wall sculptures inspired by forms found in nature. Explore my clay website HERE.
I also create whimsical animal portraits inspired by vintage paintings. For a bit of nonsense, click HERE.
